About

We sell a small number of things

Most home stores carry ten thousand products. We carry three, and we'll carry maybe fifteen by December. That's not modesty — it's the whole idea.

A store with ten thousand products can't have an opinion about any of them. Nobody there has used the corner sink strainer. It's in the catalogue because a supplier had it.

How something gets in here

Before we list a product, it has to survive a few questions:

  • Does it fix something specific? Not "improves your space" — an actual problem you can name. Dog hair welded into the carpet. Grout that went grey.
  • Can you see it working? If the difference doesn't show in a few seconds, we can't tell you the truth about it, and you can't judge whether we're lying.
  • Would we keep using it after the novelty wears off? Most gadgets fail here. They're fun once, then they live in a drawer.
  • Does the price make sense? We'd rather sell one $39 thing you use weekly than five $12 things you use once.

Plenty of things that would sell well didn't make it. A mini projector, a defrosting tray, a lint shaver — all popular, all rejected, each for a different reason. Usually the reason was that we couldn't stand behind what it would cost you versus what it would actually do.

The shelf changes

Luniee follows the season. Bats and warm light in September and October. Candles and heavy blankets in November. Gifts through December. Cleaning tools stay all year, because dog hair doesn't have a season.

If something disappears from the store, it's because we stopped believing in it. We don't keep listings alive for the traffic.

What we're not

Not a warehouse. Not a brand with a factory. We find things that work, we describe them honestly, and we ship them to you — which takes about two weeks and costs you nothing extra. If that trade doesn't suit you, Amazon is faster and we won't pretend otherwise.

Questions, complaints, or a product we should look at — hello@luniee.com. A person reads it.
